“It was a pleasure to work with Madalena.  Not only is she a terrific bass player, she is also a very skilled composer and arranger.  After I heard the initial tracks that she had recorded for my pop-jazz song, it was clear to me that she put a lot of thought into her bass arrangements, focused on my instructions, and put her heart into each take.  What I was trying to achieve in a bowed bass part was quite ambitious and not easy to play on bass.  Among other things, I wanted the bass to sound more like a cello.  So, Madalena had to play in the highest register available on her upright bass and still try to get a sound that meshed with my existing tracks.  She sent me four different bass parts for my song and each one was excellent and original.  Madalena also met my deadline with ease.  She and I communicated well with each other, and I would definitely recommend her to anyone who needs any of the services that she offers.”
